What to Expect

On your first visit to our office your will see Dr. Paxson. Your medical history will be reviewed, take any necessary x-rays and perform a periodontal screening (perio chart). The perio chart helps doctor to determine if you have periodontal disease. Depending on the results of your perio chart,we will determine what type of cleaning the hygienist will need to perform. The doctor will review your x-rays and conduct a thorough exam. During your exam, the doctor will screen for oral cancer, gum disease and evaluate the status of your current restorations (crowns, fillings, etc.). Additionally, a visual exam will be conducted, and you will be advised of any findings.
